In-House Mastering

Permanent Records offers an Online Music Mastering & Re-mastering solution for artists, independent record labels and businesses. We employ a proven process of locating weak areas of the mix and sonic discrepancies. Once Identified, these weaknesses are strengthened using “state-of-the-art” audio technology that restores dynamic range, energy and sonic clarity. The mastering process can be expensive, tedious and difficult for the average person to undertake. This service applies to stereo tracks and costs $35 to $70 per song.

Full Project Mastering is also available. We take the original project files or the independent audio tracks and remix them to professional standards. This is valuable to musicians who were not happy with their studio mix or are recording their own music, using their own gear. In most cases the studios or musicians have reached the limit of their expertise. Full mastering rates vary according to the complexity or difficulty of the project. Mastering a 10 song project can take 3 to 4 weeks or 3 to 4 hours for each song, depending on the difficulty or complexity.

Please allow approximately 3-5 business days to receive your master. Your project may be completed sooner. Full project mastering can take longer. All masters are delivered electronically. A secure download link will be emailed to you. You will receive the original reference files along with the mastered files. We can also provide MP3s for upload to your website or MySpace™ profile upon request. We reserve the right to refuse mastering projects that are distorted, “clipped” or contain questionable content.
